Great afternoon, sunny for a change, 24 C. Here's another magpie. I assume the little birds on the lamp post opposite the crow are young crows. Those Ibis fascinate me and I like to see a variety. Raining again now.
I can see that you're having a great time touring your area in your gopher & taking shots with your camera. Your photos are giving me a good sense of your neighbourhood & its environment which, I guess, would include the wharves. Well done! It's an area I used to visit occasionally as a younger fella so your photos are becoming a bit of a nostalgia trip for me. Thanks.
Do you have any mangroves nearby, Roy? They can provide good habitat for birds, not to mention fish, crabs etc. Hence the good habitat for birds!
Unfortunenately the mangroves at Garden Island and Barker Inlet are beyond the range of my batteries, so I'm restricted to the Lefevre Peninsula. Semaphore to Pelican Point is a good round trip. For nolstalgic pictures see meandmycamera.bounce.com.au
Took a look. Plenty of nostalgia there for me, Roy. Wonderful shots. Have you thought of contacting your local council about your photos as a way of promoting the Pt Adelaide area?
Looks like you had a great, great day Roy.
I particularly like the White-backed Magpie shot.
Great stuff!
