Saw this bird watching me this afternoon but not sure what it is. It was in the shadows in the trees but did manage to capture some colour.

I didn't have a big night, but I would say young male blackbird. (look at the yellow ring around the eye) I haven't seen any young yet, and I'm happy if I don't.

definitely a Common Blackbird. Kathie, check your bird ID books if you have any. Only the adult males are pure black with an orange eye-ring and bill!
