Another installment in my birding studded holiday. Today I woke up at Sprinfield Lakes, and did a little birding in along the creek, then headed into Oxley Creek Common at Rocklea, both surprisingly good spots for birds.
Leaden Flycatcher at Oxley Common
Rufous Whistler, male, at Oxley Common
Golden Whistler, female, this little sweetie came right up to me and was singing away with no concern for my presence at all, love it. I also spotted a trio of Pacific Baza, but didn't get any exciting shots, cool to see them though.
Nice shots Karl, looks like the holiday is being very productive, would have been a treat to see the Bazas.
Any holiday is good ,but a birding holiday is even better. Nice shots
See it! Hear it!

Great shots Karl - that Oxley Common is a great place - we saw a Restless Flycatcher there this morning - a first for us and very exiting!
