Gday all. I was out near Goulburn NSW the other day where I saw two varieties of Cuckoo (Black-Faced Cucko-Shrike and Pallid Cuckoo). I then saw this bird which is different to the others I saw and I cant quite pinpoint. I thought it may of been a male Cicadabird but the wings and tail are wrong and the wing colour is off. Not just taht but the beak is completely different particularly the colour.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Maybe a masked woodswallow.
The cuckoo-shrike isn't a cuckoo (or a shrike).
Edit; I meant to say dusky woodswallow. The white stripe on the wings.
I believe a Dusky Woodswallow
my immediate impression was Woodswallow because of the stance in pic #1 and the blueish beak in #2
I have only seen the White-breasted Woodswallow and therefore had to go to the Field Guide for species

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle. Folishly I dismissed the whole idea of it being a woodswallow. Silly me. Thanks fo rthe very fast feedback!
