I spent the weekend visiting friends in Brisbane, was also meant to do some birding, but the ordinary weather put an end to that. While relaxing saturday afternoon we were visited by a very pretty king parrot.
Last week, I noticed a solitary Black-winged Stilt in the canal behind my work, and so this morning packed the camera and headed to work early in the hope of finding him forraging around again, instead I found him and his two mates. :) Sadly, one appears to have an injured leg, but he seemed to be getting around ok dispite his injury. 
Nice pics. I love the King parrots but don't see a lot of them anymore.
