I am lucky my three dogs are very obedient and wait while I stalk a bird of prey hunting mice. I was lucky this afternoon near Penrith, NSW. It's the first time in four years I was close enough to a small raptor that had caught a mice. Last time I didn't have a long enough lens, today I was better equipped. I also found that the Canon 5DMkIII full frame camera body that my friend's loaned me for testing is quite good for bird photography, especially at higher ISOs.
Great work Akos! Well done getting the face sharp and a bonus with the mouse.
Cheers, Owen.
Super catch..... the right place @ the right time!!

Brilliant shot Akos, worth the four year wait. And very nice of your dogs as well!
Wonderful Akos. Superb focussing - work of an expert.
Awesome shot, love the eye colour. Worth waiting for a ripper like that :)

What a great shot!
That is a superb pic. I'd love a camera that could take pics like this, but I'd need to do a course on how to use it.
