Not sure about the J W ? So had a flick thru a few books . Honeyeater & their allies by Wayne Longmore . Came up with a photo with same wing pattern and with mottled slate colour on wing .Your photo show the bird in a grevillea ? So just maybe a immature Pied honeyeater ? In your photo can not see any sky blue wattle or lower eyelid colour which is for a positive I D " but just like the Black honeyeater it is very mobile , prone to sudden invasions and erratic seasonal movements." just having some fun research so I could be wrong.
Hmmm, not too sure on this one BajanAlan. Maybe a juvenile Mangrove Golden Whistler?
Cheers, Jackie
Please let us know where you took this photo? What town, state, time of year.... thanks
The thread is titled "Another bird in Darwin".

After some more thought I am wondering if your bird could be a juvenile or possibly female White-winged Triller?
Did you hear it make any calls? Maybe you could listen to the call on the Bird Finder and see if it sounds familiar.
I found this pic that I thought looked similar http://photogallery.canberrabirds.org.au/images/Triller_White-winged5_Dabb.jpg
