Kingfisher?

Please excuse the terrible photos. It has been raining all afternoon and it's just dreary and grey outside.

I saw this little birdie sitting on a powerline as I was driving home so I pulled over and tried to get some decent photos of it but he flew into a tree where the lighting was even worse. I couldn't get very close either as the tree was behind a barbwired fence and my kids where in the car so I had to stay next to it.

Anyway I'm thinking kingfisher but I can't be sure as I've never seen one before.

Definately a Kingfisher, probably a Sacred but a bit hard to tell without the colours.Ray

I did actually post two photos but the second one has disappeared. I'm not sure if it's me or the forum as it happened to my other thread in best photos.

I'll try the second photo again. It's from a slightly different angle but the colour is still dismal. I was thinking a Sacred but couldn't be sure. I live in Vic just north of Melbourne so I don't think we get a great range of kingfishers here.
Also does anyone know if they are territorial because tomorrow is supposed to be slightly better weather and I'd love to go back and get some more photos.
