Hi to all just a short introduction. My name is steve and I became interested in observing birds in my garden 3 years ago due to a close encounter with a Peregrine Falcon that had decided to have its morning tea on a low branch of one of the silky oaks in my back yard to cut a long story short he was a regular visitor untill this spring .
It is surprising how many different species visit this garden that i have been able to photograph 3 different species of raptors, female Satin bower Birds and most recently a Channel Billed Cuckoo plus everything in between.
All the best,
steve.
Hi Steve your area is great for P. F. The sand stone ciff faces from stanwell park all the down to shell harbour is a good location for nesting. There so many different habit zone in shell harbour outer areas that if you started a bird count it would be well over two hundred . Hope you enjoy this site.
See it! Hear it!

Wow, that is some introduction to birds Steve ..... I will have to look up and see where Shell Harbour is. If Darin knows it well then I am guessing on the north coast of NSW . Welcom to this forum
