Tawny Frogmouth on nest ... with a twist!

A friend took this pic in Malacoota & I thought it was too good not to share around!

Poor bird, must have been desperate (or confused) to build a nest there!

That is gorgeous Joanne! Tawneys are one of my favourite birds :)

They must be the worst nest builders of the avian world - or maybe they deliberately make them look rough so the nests don't look like nests!

My friend Marion was on holidays at Malacoota VIC and came across this - I think the nest was pre-loved so used as part of a display but it was apparently too inviting for this Froggie!

I just love the pic!

That makes it even more funny, she just occupied it.

( I have always thought along those lines when I looked at display caravans. What if some homeless people would just move in?)

LOL! I'll keep that in mind if I ever end up homeless :)

Feathertale, don't overlook the thousands of Australian beach homes which are unoccupied for most of the year. Anyway, in summer when they are occupied you can sleep out in the dunes until the bulldozers move you on.

There's a whole world out there to explore isn't there :) I don't know why we pay for accommodation when on holidays!
