, there were a few of them around Albert Park Lake, where the boat houses are. I took many photos some weeks ago, but I found the colours a lot stronger than in this one. Could it be a young male? There also was a young female, very pale in colour.

To answer your question George, at times I had to step back because I was too close . But it wasn't that difficult to get close, the bird was sitting in a tree, and I could hide behind the trunk as I was sneaking up
