We're seeing a lot more birds around our birdbath now. I keep it topped up. With the lack of rain here in Victoria the birds are looking for the water. Even saw a crimson rosella drinking from it today. Haven't seen that before.
Below are images of two grey fantails and what I think might be a brown thornbill, enjoying the birdbath earlier today. Taken from inside my house so not as clear and sharp as I would have liked but still recogniseable.
This is when the other bird arrived. Can almost hear what these two are thinking
Your windows must be a lot cleaner than mine the photos turned out quite sharp. Nice shots.
The birds do need a lot of water right now, they have to cool down or they will overheat. (birds can't sweat)
I'm surprised you don't get Rosellas coming to have a drink, at my place the King Parrots and Rosellas are first to drink. (have a look, I posted some 2 days ago)

Nice shots Kathie, the Grey fantails are a lot darker then the ones over here. The second bird in deifitely a thornbill,I don't know which one though.
Grey Fantails around my place come in a huge variety of shades, from very light to more brown,(like the females), and at times with an orange tinge. Kathie doesn't live that far from me. as the Fantail flies, she will also have some different colours.?

I agree, Araminta. The front of grey fantails I've seen have varied from pale apricot, to pale lemon to off-white & back again.
