Should have known better than driving all the way to Phillip Island.
Had to fight our way to the front of the queue to get some fish and chips. There were hundreds of people and noisy children, but all the birds were hiding. The only birds I saw , were two Baby Penguins huddled under a bridge, and one sleeping Penguin in a box. Like most times arriving back at home, I asked the question, why did we leave this place? So many birds in my own backyard. But tomorrow I will go down the road to visit a friend, he has Lyrebirds and Bowerbirds on his property. Enjoy the photos I took today.
Now here's a good research question for an aspiring scientist: What changes in attitudes & behaviours towards wildlife occur as a result of people visiting wildlife sanctuaries?
I know you were disappointed that you didn't encounter more birdlife...but these pictures are amazing for someone like me who's never seen a penguin! :)
