I have never seen a Pipit, but in my books they don't look as dark around the eye? Could it be a Singing Bushlark?

A female Figbird... Not a pipit, very rarely a pipit would be perched in a tree.

(I do get some right sometime .I haven't seen a Figbird, they don't come down here.)
Maybe you dont put out the proper food.
