I don't normally post in this section (apart from bird of the week).
I was working near the West Belconnen Ponds today so i went there after work for a look.
In the parkland around the ponds in just three trees i counted over 30 Red rumped Parrots
They let me get very close. Here are a couple of pics.

The colours are simply stunning Shorty. I haven't seen any blue sky for days Thanks for making an effort to post, seeing you mentioned the fact that normally you don't, is there any reason why you don't?

Thanks, M-L. These were taken at about 2pm and the fog had just lifted, not much blue sky around here lately.
I don't post here much as i don't always have the time to comment on other peoples shots.

Hey shorty, don't let the fact you don't have time to comment stop you, I don't comment often, and don't often have photos, but I still enjoy everyone's work, seeing species (like your red rumped parrots) from places I probably won't get to. Sometimes I think we get too hung up on what other people might think. My limited photos are not as good as most who post, but they are still MY BEST PHOTOS, and am not fussed if people comment or not. Just maybe someone will enjoy! Please consider putting some more up.

Shorty knows that we all enjoy his great photos, I'd love to see MORE . Like Dale said, go on, don't worry
