Great photos Shorty. You dash to those wetlands a lot, is that during work hours or after?
And yet again, those male Wrens in breeding colours. Is it the Canberra water that turns them blue before they do here in Melbourne? I haven't seen any yet, as we thought before, must be because the many cats around my place have eaten all the 4 year olds (Shorty knows what I mean)

Ours started turning about 2 weeks ago, and are looking pretty good about now. Nice pics by the way, going back with Pacman?

Thanks, M-L. The wetlands are only 5 minutes from where i live
I only have worked on Thursday this week due to the rain. No work no pay
This male has not changed colour at all this year?
After a lot of research i have come to the conclusion that for some reason some dominent males don't lose there colour (i'm so confused)

If it was water that did it, would all the wrens in Adelaide stay blue permanently? Maybe the salts in the water crystallise out of it on the wrens, and hence the blue?
Thats my 10c of pseudoscience for the day!
