Yesterday afternoon was another too-good-to-be-stuck-at-work days, so I took the afternoon off with wonderful results. I finally managed to catch a Scarlet Honeyeater at a reasonable height level. *yayyyy* Had just about given up on the site where I was when a Blue-Faced Honeyeater came along and wanted to show off.
I also found some very photogenic Cotton Pygmy Geese.
Ohhh! I have always wanted to see a pygmy goose!!! Do you see them often?
The shots of the scarlet and the blue-faced honeyeater are beautiful
Great job![yes yes](https://www.birdsinbackyards.net/sites/all/libraries/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/thumbs_up.gif)
Those were the first ones I've seen. I was out at springfield lakes because I had seen a few bird lists with unusual/different birds on them there. They were on one of the lists, although I did a fair bit of walking around to find them.
It's a lovely place to spend an afternoon.
The scarlet honeyeater are a bit of a source of frustration for me since they like sitting up high and ignoring me. D:
Beautiful shots windshear, those honeyeaters are just such gorgeous colours
. And the Cotton Pygmy Geese, nawww, I want one!
I'm with Elsie, I always love to see the ones I've never seen. Thankyou!

Great shots, Windshear. We have had a sighting of a few Scarlet Honeyeaters here in Canberra. I have been going to the spot the last couple of days but no luck yet
( they are rare visitors here )
