The Raven is so under-rated, i think they are great. Excellent shots, Shoop.

Definitely agree with Elsie & Shorty, love love love these Raven shots!  So envious, we have only Forest Ravens, gorgeous too, but the little blighters just won't stay close enough for me!  The expression in the second shot just cracked me up - reminded me of my fifth grade teacher, so funny.  I got a friend to superimpose some bi-focals on it shoop, and just as I suspected, it IS Miss Smith, I'm sure of it.   Hahaha, but thought I'd better not repost your own (altered) shot without asking.  I am so easily amused some days....it's a worry laughyes

Oh RubyE please do post the photo I would love to see it. Birds are so funny in their expressions. The second photo was my favourite too . All the ravens were getting bullied by the wattle birds that day at the lake , and I can't resist to take photos of any bird that is in that close a range of my camera. But I do love ravens , I was wondering why some have blue eyes and yet others have brown? Is it age difference?

Cool yes  Had to look in a couple of my little books of wonders about the eyes, I wondered that too.  One says Australian Raven eyes are "white", the other says nothing about adults but says Juveniles' eyes are brown, then later hazel.  So I think definitely age shoop!(?)  Perhaps they morph from juvenile colours through to blues then white?  Don't know, just guessing here.

Here is Ms Smith (Not Miss Smiss as I originally said, I forgot, you were NEVER allowed to slip-up & call her Miss or Mrs, boy did she yell about that!)

Hahaha, glad you liked it.  Ooooh, I for one don't care about the quality, I've just posted blurry eyed Tawny's.  It's the seeing and the getting, and the admiring.   Woohoo, a Falcon, a "big" bird shoop.  laughlaugh  I love the littles, but so nice to have a mix too, which I seem to be slow in doing!  Well come on then, hurry up and post wink.
