Noisy Pitta

Now that the big trip is over, I expected less excitement but... Irrawong Reserve at Warriewood, Sydney delivered a very pleasant surprise. There were reports last year that there was a Noisy Pitta seen in the area of the first waterfall and this morning, it decided to pose for a photoshoot and completely ignore me. We even shared a log for a while!

It was much smaller than I had expected but the shape drew my eye as the colours were not obvious in the shadows. I have never seen one outside of a zoo so I am thrilled! Sue
