Took the camera to Hidden Valley National Park in Kununurra for the firs time yesterday. Got pics of Red-winged parrot (shame the male was hiding a bit), White-quilled Rock Pigeon and, surprisingly, a Dusky Honeyeater which is a first for me. My field guide says we're just outside their range here. I also saw (barely) a male Great Bowerbird putting on a show outside his bower for a nearby female but he was under a pretty dense tree and couldn't get a photo.
Cheers
great shots KB ... that dusky honeyeater is a nice looking bird, you caught him in a fine pose
Wow, the colours on the Red-winged Parrot are so vibrant. Must be dazzling when they're spied in a small flock together? Loving seeing your birdlife already KingBrown!
