Hi
These birds were in forest areas in reserves in western sydney. As usual some of my pics are not good.
Pics 1 and 2 - i think is a female rufous whistler?
Pics 3-5 are a different bird - best i can come up with is a grey shrike-thrush? but im more doubtful about that id.
Hope someone can help - thanks WD.
Golden Whistler female. Shrike-thrush have a much longer bill which is pale in colour... not black.

So Brandon, is the first bird (photo 1&2) a rufous whistler? I think this (photo 3-5) is a different bird than WD's other post, as the golden colour is not evident under the tail in these shots, as it was in the others.

Yes, the first two birds are Rufous Whistlers.

Thanks brandon and dwatsonbb
Pics 3-5 is different to my other post.
I posted here two other pics of the second bird (3-5), which do show a tiny pale lemon mark under the tail .... maybe that confirms the golden whistler id
I think the second bird probably is a grey shrike-thrush.
