Bird of the Week: 17th of February - long legs, short legs

Happy Monday everyone,

This week's theme follows a suggestion from a couple of weeks ago. Lets contrast some birds with long legs versus short legs. If you have both shots - share one image of a long-legged bird and one image of a short-legged bird. Lets stick to a max of 2 photos per person for this week.

A Black-winged Stilt is long-legged.

Freckled Ducks are rather short- legged. Most of them do have two legscheeky

Long legged lad, Great Egret

And short legged, Sulphur-crested Cockatoo.  Hope I'm not pushing the theme with this one?  Don't know why, but I just always think these guys should have longer legs, in comparison to their body size/shape.
