just Larking around

The last few days have had a couple of Magpie Larks visit my garden, I think they are after all the small garden moths that appear out of nowhere after I water the plants and grass.

Lovely pics Shoop. I like MPs a lot, but they tend to be fairly skittish.

Always been fond of these guys. Their call is one that reminds me so much of Australia when I was growing up. (and now)

Hey great shots Shoop, I think Magpie-Larks must be a compulsory accessory with every australian garden that has a bird bath, every garden I've had over the years has had a pair that visit daily smiley. Wonderful close-ups. #2 appears to have a dropped left eye or maybe it's just the camera angle.

Great work yes.

Cheers

I particularly like the last one, Shoop. :)

There's a pair nesting somewhere near my house, as they are daily visitors to the lawn, but I haven't seen them visit the bird bath. They also tap on my window early in the morning. angry
