Today I was lucky to finally getting a photo of this female Eastern Whipbird. I often hear them , but most of the time they are well hidden in the under storage. The male bird was close by , but always behind branches.(sorry, no tail, it was behind the tree) Enjoy.

nice pose pity about the tail ,I have never seen one male or female like you I hear them but never see them.
WOW!! This is the best shot I have seen of a whipbird Araminta, I love it so much. In my opinion it doesn't matter that the tail isn't there as you have captured so much character in the eye and face and I can see every feather on it's face. It looks a bit cheecky, well done!

Great photo .... you must be pleased to finally get a clear photo of one.
You are doing better than me .....only time I got a photo of one, I had the tail and body but his head was hidden!

Amazing!!! I have hidden for hours waiting for them to come out so that I could take a photo of them, but I have never actually seen one! It is a truly amazing photo
