Thanks Rick. Yes ML they were taken with the newish Sony A77 and an old Sigma 170-500mm APO AF, I'm not sure the old lens does the 24Mp sensor justice. I did some work in Lightroom as the Sony can be a bit noisy if you don't nail the exposure and it was a high contrast situation which needed a bit of levelling out. I'm liking the old minolta lenses though (very cheap) and nice and sharp. I haven't had a chance to get properly 'out in the field' (so to speak) in any serious way but lets hope they are right about the forecast for tomorrow (up here in Sydney).
The first 3 pics were on the second day in the early morning (sun low in the sky) the 4th pic was an overcast day.

Wow Richard, look at those gorgeous colours and the masses of flowers. These are photos full of light and sunshine.
Did you take those with your new camera?

Great photos Richman. The Musk Lorikeets are starting to show up around here as well (Adelaide)

Great shots - very colourful birds, love those yellows on their backs in the sun.
Is that the Sony A77 or the new A77 II?
Nathan it is a Sony A77V which I bought second hand off ebay, not the brand new A77II.
