Sugar Gliders are popular pets in The US. I wonder if there is any chance they will naturalise and become pests, with all the Eucalypt plantations around the world it might be possible. This is useful research for demonstrating the complexity of ecological systems, we already knew that habitat needs to be protected.
I didn't know they even existed in the US GregL .... let alone were kepts as pets!!!! People think that it is just homes for a particular species that are affected when we chop and clear the treed areas.... but yes... it is so much more complex than that and small things can tip the balance in one animals favour over another ...as in this case
