Thanks for viewing and the comments - that tap doesn't shut off without super human effort, but that helps out the birds. Also have seen seagulls and ravens having a drink at that tap.
Thanks Reflex, but I don't use a DSLR. I'm using a canon sx50 "super zoom" camera. Good choice for me starting out in this hobby, and I can get some good images when conditions are in its favour. I am intending to get a DSLR, but all the choices of bodies and lens and conflicting opinions are a bit bamboozling.
Brilliantly captured WD. I wonder how many others walked on by too busy to stop and enjoy the moment. Glad you captured them! He looks ready to defend his precious drops in #3 should any other bird dare to join in before he's finished.

Oh my goodness, he really does look like he's twisting that tap with the grip he has doesn't he? Classic! These are beautiful WD. I could see them all in a series on a wall somewhere. Wonder who'll be there next time! Come on, you can't stop now!

A new species at the dripping tap - red rump parrots licking up some drops of water and one had a shower.
Just fabulous , the colour and detail in the red rumps are superb.
Hahaha like water off a ducks back ...more like , water rollling off a red rump's retina !!!!!!!!!!!!

Ohhh, a beautiful and worthy addition! More awesome captures WD! Seeing the Red Rump having a quick shower, I'd almost be cheeky enough to sneak back with a pot plant base and pop it under the tap amongst those stones. Could be a Part 2 of showers under the tap with that

No problem reflex, a few communal threads is a good thing in the mix ... Nice shot of the ibis getting a drink, different birds have different techniques!
Saw a funny one the other day ... a big dog getting a drink at a bubbler, he was tall enough to rest his front paws up on the bowl and lap away at the fountain while his owner pushed the button!
That's a good idea Birdie, maybe Holly will put that on her list for an upcoming challenge.
