One of my favourite little birds. So wet and windy here but they seem to be in their element.

They look so fluffly that it surprises me they can dive so well. I would have thought a lot of air would get trapped in those fluffly feathers and make them quite bouyant.
Great images #2 is a stunner, I don't have much luck with grebes, I'll have to try harder.

Saw my first one last Saturday. Smaller bird than I had expected and stayed as far away from me as it could. Reminds me of my wife in some ways....
