Well, the Golden whistlers have finaly come back to my garden! I love to hear their sweet song, and see them happy in the tops of the gum trees. I am yet to see the little gold boy, but I know he's here somewhere This is his little girlfriend, she is a very inquisitive little girl - not at all shy. I hope that you like the photos. She was practically begging me to take her picture
She was singing all the time
A beautiful bird. The photos in this forum are so good they should be put into a book; a pity that they are not seen more widely. Maybe BIBY should go into publishing and make a bit of dough for the organisation?
Gorgeous photos Elsie, I love them. Nice capture
There is something about the female Golden Whistlers, although the males are so much brighter, I always spot the girls first too. At my place , around the beginning of the breeding season I sometimes hear 5 or more calling out from the tree tops, but they are very fast moving .

Thanks so much for all of your lovely comments
Yes Reflex, she was so curious! The famale golden whistlers may not be as bright as the males, but somehow I think that they are one of my favourite birds.
Beautiful photos Elsie. Love the delicate hint of yellow on the underside - she is a real sweetie!
Thank you WD! I love birds that are happy to pose
