In the Nullabor for the next two weeks on a diving trip but will hopefully be able to make some time for the birds Found these few yesterday near Weebubbie Cave. My first half decent shots of all of them so very happy.
Thanks WD, Reflex. Should have tagged them.
First is Richards Pipit.
Second, as Reflex suggests but happy to be corrected.
Third, Brown Songlark.
Cheers
That Pipit is outstanding Rick! Not to mention the Wedgie & Hobby. Gee I am envious of your variety, it's simply wonderful - look forward to what you find and photograph each and every time!
Hey, did you know that there are two posts of the same thread for these? Not that it matter, just thought I'd point it out in case you see the other and wonder where all the replies have gone
Great photos Rick. I love that last Wedgie shot and that Hobby is great. Do you have a waterproof camera housing or a waterproof camera to take photos underwater?
Great photos Rick - first is a pipit, but i don't know the others?
I think the second bird is a Chestnut Quail-Thrush (male), although I am happy to be corrected.

Double post.
First Wedgetail of the trip, hope to get closer at some stage.
WT Eagle must be a magnificent sight - nice work Rick. That take-off is a beauty.
Only the second Australian Hobby I have seen and he let me get quite close.

Great captures of the hobby Rick - hope you get tired of diving and get more photos for us!
Do you do underwater photography as well ... if so, I'm sure you could sneak a few in here for us.

Top shots as always, loving the raptor shots you get..
Thanks all,
Annie, not sure how to delete the double post. Comms are a bit dodgy here for uploads and sometimes it crashes halfway through.
WD & Tim. Used to take stills but now mostly video underwater caves. That is the purpose of the trip to video the deep section of Weebubbie Cave.
A few more raptors. The Wedgetails are really difficult to get close to.
WT eagle looks amazing in your photo Rick with the wings outstretched.
Those trees in that landscape are great subjects for photos by themselves.
