I'm very jealous you know Rick. I saw my first Golden Whistler last weekend and it even took a bath in a puddle not far from me. Do you think I could get a half decent shot no. Just a yellow blur. Very frustrating.
Die dinner die damn you! I suppose that could be a birds' version "cooking" dinner , I've noticed that Grey Shrike-thrush tenderise, or beat their meal into submission, prior to eating it too. Fantastic set Rick!
Great shots Rick, very clear. I've watched Kookaburra's do the same thing.

Very nice shots. I love the action shot. Where were these taken Rick?
Great shots. I especially love that second shot.

Devwenbull, Lake Gilles Conservation Park, South of the highway.
First time I have been there as my usual area is North of the highway to the salt lakes.
What a sweety!
Great photos .... spectacular bird.
I have seen a couple of male GWs recently, but high up in trees. Not close enough for a good photo like yours.
