Hey everyone its my first post here, I was recommended this site from a birder i met at Oxley creek common.
I would like to share a few shots i took that day and also recommend the spot if anyone was wondering about visiting. Also I'm a huge eagle/hawk/kestrel fan and would love anyones opinion on the best spots around Brisbane to find and photograph them.

Wow very beautiful shots. Welcome to the group. While this may be your first post here, you obviously are no stranger to photography.
I especially love the Red Backed Fairy-Wren.
Osprey House I have heard is good for those types of birds over at Murumba Downs on the Nothside.
Walk about Creek at the Gap is another nice place for birds also.

I love the Egret shot - it's stunning!
I don't live in Brisbane so I don't know very many places to see raptors. However, if you drive out past Ipswitch towards Gatton there is always a good chance that you will see Black Kites. They are usually in big flocks hovering over the produce fields, Square-tailed kites somtimes hang out with them, I have also seen Spotted Harriers there too. I don't know if you would want to go driving out that far though
The Boondal wetlands have some lovely raptors eg. Pacific Bazas, White-bellied Sea Eagles, Brahminy Kites.

I'm an occasional visitor to Oxley Creek common myself (being only 5-10 mins drive away). It should be nice around now with things starting to come into flower.
If you get a chance, Toohey forest is full of little honeyeaters at the moment with the grass trees in full flower. I was there a week or two ago and saw Scarlet honeyeaters, esatern spinebills and black-chinned honeyeaters when I was not actually birding but looking at plants in flower.

also would the boondall wetlands be wet at the moment seeing as there hasnt been much rain lately. I had a bit of bad luck going to eagly wetlands and it wasnt wet.

That little pardalote is fantastic. Such a beautiful bird.
The little pied cormorant is a great photo ... one of my favourite birds.
