A couple of weeks ago I got some photos of a couple of Eastern Rosellas sitting in the roadside tree in front of my house.
At the time I thought they were just passing through but I noticed them back a few days ago.
It seems they are setting up a nest in a hollow limb that I didn't even know was there, it looked just like a branch had been lopped off by council workers.
Hopefully they will be sucessful and raise some young, though there are a few stray cats in the area and the road is quite busy at times.
Always good to see your picks Rick. Always nice and clear. How far away was the bird? Did you use a flash on the last shot?
Sorry for the questions, I'm still learning how to take better shots.
Cheers Devster
Hi Devster,About ten metres away.
Small amount of fill flash on all but mostly the fourth shot.
I'm still learning to take better shots all the time. Can be quite frustrating at times.
Cheers
Thanks Rick.
Are you in Qld in the Brisbane area?
Great colour.
Great photos rick.
Love them all but the one with the tail flared is a unique shot. First one has the pose of a gymnast on the parallel bars.
