Glorious weather today so went for a walk at Deep Creek.
Was hoping to see some Beautiful and Diamond Firetails that I had a fleeting glimpse of on a previous visit. Only managed another glimpse of a Beautiful but too fast for even a photo.
Magic day though with a variety of birds on show, hightlight being some very busy Silvereyes feeding. Pipits on the coast was a bit of a surprise but looking in the guide showed Australia wide distribution so I suppose that includes the coastline New Holland Honeyeaters were taking insects but too fast today. Welcome swallows nest in the rocky coastline and are always a challenge. Had a Magic day though legs are a bit weary as the terrain is quite steep.
Magnificent shots Rick! Those Silver eyes are a great little bird to photograph.

Really enjoy your photos Rick, you have some magic ones there of the silvereyes. Look even better viewed larger size on your site.
Such glorious photos, Rick. The silvereyes are just magical. The swallow is quite adorable too.
Thanks Reflex, WD.
As soon as I saw the Silvereyes feeding it reminded me that I had seen the same thing
last year with New Holland Honeyeaters, but hadn't been able to find the photos.
Had a better look and found some that were taken November last year.
Seems the Yaccas have different flowering period depending on the species, I think
these ones have just started.
Wow! I'm not sure what I did or clicked on but I've just seen these photographs but on your web site and they are 100 times clearer!
A link would be good please Rick?

Reflex,
Yes, sometimes the quality of the uploads is a bit average.
My Smugmug site is a bit of a work in progress that I never get around to doing
but there is some stuff here

Rick, I believe Yacca or Xanthorrhoea species in SA, at least, usually flower in spring but will also flower in response to fire.
You've been busy! They always look so much better when you allow them to be shown on full screen.
Does it cost you anything to have a web-site like that?

Double post.

Think it costs about 60 bucks a year. Just need to get the time to develop it.
