Made it to my 200th photographed species - with a Suberb Lyrebird!
Seen at Wentworth Falls picnic area in Blue Mountains NSW. After a long unsuccessful (bird-wise) bush walk I emerged hot, tired and discouraged back at the picnic area and then I saw something in the bush scraping away at the ground litter. I was surprised how big it was - at first i thought it was a brush turkey. Got a couple of pictures of it it under the bushes, then it headed out the other side of the bushes and I spotted it again disappearing over a fence into someone's backyard.
congratulations
and #300 could be Superb Parrot

Congrats WD. What a great bird to celebrate your 200th with!! I would love to see one of these or any Lyrebirds for that matter. Great pics. Lucky resident with a Lyrebird in their yard. Probably doesn't appreciate t and gets cranky at it for riping up the veggie garden.
Thanks everyone for the comments and congratulations for 200!
