Well after pretty good morning, I thought try my luck at other end of Leschenault inlet for evening hike. So glad I did as this was one of best duels I have ever seen and captured
Cry havoc and let slip the birds of war.
Funny enough after he saw his opponent off , he just kept circling me as if he was doing a victory lap.
Must have been a real thrill to observe, and well captured!

Great shots! Its so exciting when you see these aerial displays. Thanks for sharing.
Great action shots, its actually 2 White-bellied sea eagles, the brown one is a juvenile.
Wow thanks Tim,
I have never seen immature Sea Eagle before
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
Well picked up Tim.
Awesome set of shots ... great work capturing the action
Thanks comments guys and thanks again Tim for information.
I scrutinzed my camera roll again more closely now for immature Sea Eagle which for me is a new tick in the box
Ironically i went out to the inlet hunting a pair Wedgies that were also out there. Whom would be sitting in the same area but the pair of Whistling Kites that were around yesterday.
Even more uncharacteriscally one of them stayed perching so I get nice close up of him. Almost like he was rubbing salt into the ID faux pas :)

This is an incredible series. I'd love to witness something like it. The WBSE at reasonably close range would be a new one for me, let alone two of them showing off like this. Thanks for sharing it, and I'm jealous of the experience :)
