Good morning team,
One more bird that I am having trouble identifying.
These ones I photographed crossing the Sumba Sea heading Nth from the bottom end of Rinca Island to Padar Island in the Lesser Sunda Islands group in Indonesia.
It has the clear white line on the wing when flying, and they were happy to sit on the choppy ocean dipping their heads presumably feeding on critters near the surface.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Andrew.
Red-necked Phalarope, i reckon.
I agree :)
Thanks very much Zosterops and Devster for your help, I definately agree too looking up the Red-necked Phalarope in one of my asian birding guides with it matching a non-breeding adult. First two guides I'd tried had it in breeding colouration and a more juvenile phase photo.
Thanks again,
Andrew.
