Lucky to get a couple of hours at one of my favourite places a few days ago.
Horsefield's were calling like crazy and quite a few Rufous Songlarks though I couldn't get close.
White-browed Babblers very busy gathering nesting materials as were most.
Sturt's Desert pea flowering were special, as were Chirruping Wedgebill. Great place.

Nice set Rick!
2degrees? Bah. We had -4.5 with snow in the higher parts and thick sheets of ice on the puddles this morning. The Crested Pigeons in your part of the world are wimps.

Awesome shots, I like the babbler photo best
There would have been a few ticks in this lot for me. HelloBirdy, as much as I would like to visit the Arid Lands Botanic Gardens these were not my photos and -4.5C is all yours!
Samford Valley Qld.
Excellent photos ... always like the way they seem to pose for you on those branches against the blue sky ! Singing honeyeater is a beauty.
Only seen one of those - the Crested pigeon!
Whoops. Got a bit muddled up there. Both start with R and have a ri sound. Oh well. Fixed and my comment on the quality of photos definately still stands :-)

Lovely pictures, like Whistlingduck, the only one I've seen is a crested pigeon.

Great stuff Rick, as always nothing but admiration for those getting great portraits of the smaller birds
Dont take life too seriously, it never ends well
Ah Rick, crackers as always! The calling Cuckoo is my fav. All but 1 would be new birds for me too. I'm with Reflex you can have your -4.5° Birdy. I would do 2° though Rick to get these shots. Maybe just once :)
Wonderful photos, Rick. I loved the Ardi Lands and hope to get back there but not at that temperature! Chirruping Wedgebill would be a new one fro me as I have only seen the Chiming Wedgebill.
