Last weekend while camping i thought i would stay up late hoping to hear an owl and track him down (no luck though)

Anyway while i was waiting i took some shots of the milky way and today played around with a few shots and here is one resulting image.

Love it Shortyheart What do you mean by" played around"? Can I trust you after you put a Wren on the beak of a Spoonbillwink?

There was no moon, you just put it therewink? What's the purple blodge ? I would still love it, even without the moon.

The stars we can see from our continent are just fantastic. If you go to Europe, you can hardly see any, even away from the citiescrying (did you catch any fish?)

Thanks M-L.

Yes the moon is a seperate shot. The stars require at least 15sec exposure with high ISO and the moon needs a very quick shutter speed.

The purple blodge is a Nebula (don't know which one).

The naked eye mostly just see's bright white stars and moon, but they are actually full of colour and a camera can capture it. But it still needs post processing.

And yes i always catch fishsmiley

Here is the moon shot that i used.
