You snuck really well by the looks of that shot Kevin . What a beautiful bird - love how these have almost has a cartoonish expression around their eyes, and their heads look so much (proportionally) smaller compared to their bodies, makes them even more eye catching imo.
Well caught !! I can never get that close to them ..... I love their call and it will always remind me of certain places here on the Sunshine Coast. I used to have one that called for a year or so in my back garden or surrounds ( lots of bush) .... it took me over 12 months to hear one and sight it elsewhere and make the ID!!! They are pretty doves aren't they?
