a visit to Bouddi NP, Gosford got a new bird for me - a pair of Barking Owls

and 2 Black-faced Monarch pics because I like this bird

Very much so as I also got good pics of Scarlet, White-cheeked & Lewin's Honeyeaters, Eastern Spinebill, Golden Whistler, Variegated Fairywren and Striated Thornbill

Great photos Peter, how did you find the Barking Owls, we have one behind us in the bush, I've been hearing them for years, but never seen one crying

As for the other birds you saw, we want to see the photoscheeky

If you are in Gosfrd, NSW before the end of February '13 I can take you to the right place.

I had been given the directions 6-8 weeks ago and just had not been able to fit the place into my schedule. They are in a NP and only 50 metres from the car park.

I'll post some of the other pics when I get back to my 'puter on Sunday.

a good day for me last Sunday as I got pics of Black-faced Monarch, young Black-faced Monarch, Scarlet Myzomela (Honeyeater), Lewin's Honeyeater, Australian Golden Whistler, Variegated Fairywren, White-cheeked Honeyeater, Striated Thornbill (bathing), Eastern Spinebill and Barking Owl (pair)
