@ Birdgirl - it is certainly a better combo for bird photography than the Lumix. It weighs a tonne, though. I reckon about 5 or 6 times the weight of the FZ-50. I'll keep the Lumix for orchid photos and because it has superior qual optics. The only drawback was its small sensor and noise above ISO200.

Nice pics I like the rainbows nice clear shots.
Really nice pictures George. I recognised two out of three right away, the purple swamp hen I ID'd by its colour and the swamp, and the Lori's by their rainbow colors ... now to commit that Eurasian Coot to my single digit memory. I'm learning!
