Thanks girls..... I am trying to get a better shot each time and as the light is usually poor when it comes out to feed then I am trying the flash and a lower ISO to see if I can get rid of the noisy effects. It is interesting that the adults eye is a red colour but the juv has a blackish eye.
The parents were so funny in this case as they both came down and started crying to it when they saw I was getting closer and of course I was using the flash so it kind of grabbed their attention!! Baby quickly flew away when he copped an ear bashing from both parents. But they stayed around just in case there was chance of a mango snack .
They are awesome Adrienne! Your Catbird shots have advanced in leaps and bounds. If I could think of one way to improve the adult it would be fill flash! Otherwise still a very splendid capture. The baby one is a killer! Very, very well done! I e-mailed you a slightly touched up version of the baby. You'll see the twig across the tail (gone). :)
Thanks AKOS, I actually think I may have used fill flash but I was a bit too far away for the small camera flash to be effective. However I did try some with and some without so I will have to check.
And thanks for the rework .... looked great.
Well I must say "the nasty lady" got a great shot. Well done! They are beautiful birds and I love the colours.
baby is getting his colors, and i agree the nasty ;ady must be alright because she got good shots
