Great collection of shots!
The kite look mighty bold standing on the gravel like that.
Love the grasswren pic, love those numerous white streaks of feathers against the earthy plumage
The mistletoebird picture was very well taken! The focus is spot-on, you got the details of each individual feather on the bird as well as the peeling fibres of bark on its perch
Rainbow Bee-eater eating a bee, how appropriate! :D
The Gerygone is adorable (despite the preen hole in its chest) that face... you even got a good view of its little white eyebrow :)
Thanks for sharing these, keep up the great work, Richard :D

Fantastic shots! That mistletoebird is gorgeous! ^_^
Great stuff Richard. Good to see your shots again. That Western Gerygone looks pretty scruffy!
Cheers, Owen.
All the photos are great but I really love the kite - he looks very self-assured.

I just love the Mistletoebird, I could admire it for a very long time, and some more, beautiful. M-L

Amazing close up of the whistling kite. How did you get so close? Is it a youngster (spotted wings)?
Thanks for all the comments. A new lens helps bringing the birds closer, although the Mistletoebird was almost too close.
I've succumbed to the birding bug!
