Hi all,
I thought I would share with everyone some photo's I took of some birds at the Long Reef Marine Reserve a few weeks ago.
.
Crested Tern
These guys are pretty tame and let me get very close to them.
.
Double-banded Plover, and Red-necked Stint
The Double-banded Plover is the bird with the red band across the chest. These guys fly over from New Zealand.
The Red-necked Stint (in non-breeding plummage) migrates from Siberia.
.
Eastern Reef Egret
.
Grey-tailed Tattler
Another one that migrates from Eastern Siberia
.
Ruddy Turnstone
This one migrates from the Artic, returning back to the ARtic to breed.
