Love your work steve. Especially the first one.

Nice ones steve, but aside from the beautiful capture I'm wondering why the sky is so much lighter in one?

Nice couple of shots, steve. Wouldn't mind getting a few BiF shots of this species but I don't even have one of them perching :-( Thanks for sharing.

thank you bushnwater..
,
Tark,
I think i was shooting towards the sun in the first one..
and the sun is behind me on the second.
I was wondering the same thing..
Thats the only explanation i have.. I think the exposure is the same..
,
sorry George.. :(
I hear what you are saying...

cheers,
steve
I've noticed the same effect in some of my own shots. As you say, it's camera angle in relation to the sun.

Do you use a polarizer steve? the really blue sky looks like there's one involved maybe?

I have a polarizer and tried to use it one day, but i could not work out how to use it.. doh!
so i havent touched it since.
that sky is natural..

steve
Thanks Steve, I was thinking of getting one ( I have a birthday in a few weeks and I am making up a wish list) but I think it might just give me another piece of equipment to muddle with while the birds are flyin away!!

My advise on polarizers, get one and use it. Except if your having low light issues.
