What a great photo Wampy. There is so many birds at Cranny its hard sometimes to believe you are actually in Cranny. I am still looking very hard for the spotted pardolotes but have had no luck yet. I'll keep looking. Love looking at your photos as it gives us more of an idea what to look out for.
Cranny is a great place to observe the smaller birds, and a few larger ones. The wedgies still elude me, but yesterday I observed one at a distance, as well as many silvereyes, yellow faced honeyeaters, white plumed, white naped, tawny frogmouths, scrubwrens, fairywrens, grebes, chestnut teals, plovers, finches etc.
Hi Scarlethoneyeater, I love the Tawny Frogmouth and have been observing a pair of them for quite a while now. Their eggs should just about be ready to hatch and I hope to get a few snaps of the hatchlings.
Cath and Shane, the spotted pardalotes are nesting in their burrows at the moment and can be tricky to find. Look for an embankment with a lot of holes in it.
Hi, as wampy said the pardalotes are nesting but this can be an advantage,if you find a nest hang around and the male may come out to have a look,i did this last week and got some great shots from about 3m,there's a nest in sight of the manna walk about 30m from trig track on the left hand side and in the banks of the smaller swamps
good luck
cheers sparrow
Nice shots Wampy,
I got some real nice close ups of them last week.
They have an amazing blue beak.
Looking forward to the tawny chick pic's.
I know they have at least one, I seen it yesterday. Nice weather for some great pic's.

Great photos Wampy! The Tawny Frogmouth has to be one of my favourites.

Will be waiting for those shots, the babies are the cutest small balls of fluff.
