Finally got go out to see if any birds were at the beach. Not many but I did see a pair of Eastern Reef Egrets ( grey ) fishing on the rocks.

With these grey ones, you could try to spot meter and expose with no EC, or maybe -1/3 to -2/3 stops since they are pretty close to greycard grey, and I am sure you know what I mean. :-)
