Sorry, my computer is playing up again! I went for a walk behind Aldi's in Berwick today. That's where I took the photos .In one of those Estates with a man made lake. It was rather beautiful,it could be even nicer, if people wouldn't leave rubbish everywhere! Lots of different waterbirds have taken up residence. Later I will post more photos of other birds.Someone told me the sad story of the pair of Black Swans, they had a nest in the middle of the lake, and had one young. It since has disappeared, nobody knows what happened to it? I have some photos of the beautiful Swans. M-L

Very nice shots and good variety. I am surprised at the orange colours on those chicks and I haven't seen Coot chicks before so thanks for sharing this.

Thanks for posting these - they are really cute. They look very young. There are baby water birds everywhere, aren't there?
It was a big surpise to me to find so many birds there,it is right next to a very busy road, and a shopping centre. A woman told me the chicks were just one day old, if you have a close look, their eyes are just open.You are right, there were more young ones, I will post some gorgeous Chestnut Teal Ducklings later.M-L
