While looking for the Osprey I found myself in a busy little glade of trees and scrub that was just bustling with small birds, just next to the beach at Point Cartwright .
This Little Shrike thrush was just so busy shredding bark and leaves hunting for insects that it wasn't bothered by me at all. When I went back then next day with Andy there was a pair of them doing more of the same in the same patch.
Beautiful Black faced Monarch
Brown Honey Eater
Not a good shot but a delightful fine the White Cheeked HE

A cute selection birdie. I often sit and wait for the birds to be relaxed in my presence, but as my kids often tag along we can't sit still long enough! The little thrush seems very close.
Well I thought I had patience till I went out with Andy on Friday but she has so much more than me.... I am like someone with ADHD when I see so many small birds at once ..don't know where to look next LOL

Great shots. I have seen both the White-cheeked Honeyeater and Black-faced Monarch but didn't get a keeper of both.
Cheers, Owen.
I love your shots birdie, I know what all of you are talking about, by having patience, my husband loves to come with me to take photos, but he always has to keep walking. Most of the time I come home with no photos . I can hide in a bush for ever, but it's like taking a man shopping, I can look at a single thing for a loooong time....I love the Black faced Monarch, I haven't seen one. I hope you and Andy had a good day,I'd love to have been there! M-L
